Software Architect —New Brunswick, New Jersey

Design technology solutions to support organizational IT needs

Research and recommend new technologies to meet business needs

Create and deliver tailored views of software architectures to stakeholders

Ensure software compatibility and alignment with overall business, IT and infrastructure strategies

Identify and direct implementation of strategies for maintaining data and application integration

Proactively monitor the adherence of the implementation to the architecture

Collaborate with management and colleagues and develop overall design and define projects for implementation of strategic technology initiatives

Consult with project managers to keep informed of active and future projects and identify areas of overlap

Assist, as needed, in implementation of large client programs involving numerous interfaces or system modifications

Review software change requests to identify duplication, similarities, and feasibility and recommend specific action(s) needed

Provide recommendations toward prioritization of tactical and strategic change requests; Develop contingency plans, as necessary and manage requirement gathering and change management process

Establish programming, design and other technical standards

Provide advisory and troubleshooting support
REQUIREMENTS: Must have Master's Degree (or its U.S. equivalent) in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely-related field. Position requires two (2) years of work experience in following: Working with business analysts, architects and testers to ensure designs and codes adhere to business/system requirements and web application development principles; Serving as a liaison to the business area to incorporate technical requirement into business needs, isolate key issues, review possible solutions and present recommendations; Providing inputs for planning activities to meet project’s NFRs (Non Functional Requirements); Performing comparative analysis of multiple products, frameworks and technologies to define technology solutions; Explaining existing system capabilities to key business users and leveraging existing capabilities into solutions; Coordinating with offshore team on requirement understanding and development activities; and Ensuring that all components of technical architecture are properly implemented. Position also requires 2 years of work experience using following technologies and tools: Microsoft Technologies: C#, ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC, ADO.NET, VC++, and WPF; Web Technologies: HTML, HTML5, DHTML, XHTML Bootstrap, JavaScript, JQuery, JqueryUI, AngularJS, TypeScript, Grunt, Gulp, and Lightstream; Databases Technologies: SQL Server 2000, SQL Server 2005, and Oracle; Tools: Visual Studio (2000, 2005, 2010, 2012, 2013), Fiddler, Browser Developer Toolbar, Microsoft ACT, FxCop, NUNIT, sIEVE (memory testing tool), XSLT, XSLO, Rational Rose, VC6.0, Infragistics, and Telerik; and Version Control: Visual SourceSafe, Rational ClearCase, and Team Foundation Server. Position demands knowledge of: TFS and Git for code management; and designing UI development and Rich User Interface Design. Proof of legal authority to work in U.S. required.
